new year's

on new year's eve while waiting for the fireworks (sydney will have the best nye display in the world, as per usual = WIN) i will do many things to pass the time. which will go oh so slowly but in a lovely way at the same time.

hopefully my ipod's batteries will last the whole day
i will be listening to:

eugene mcguinness
the best rock guy ever. his music has the same feel as the arctic monkeys but is much more complex and less bogan. kind of like mystery jets but instead of being young and whiny, he's a bit more dark and sophisticated.
julian casablanas' old demos
god damn when i heard the demo version of you only live once, called i'll try anything once, in the trailer for sophia coppola's new film, somewhere, i was like oh god this friendship will never cease to amaze me. that new yorker group of musicians and film makers is so fricking awesome. and their forces combined are comparable to the power rangers or the planeteers.
supergrass
there's something attractive about danny goffey despite his lack of chin. which this photo hides quite well....well he hides it by sticking his head out forward (on the left...DAMN IT I MEANT RIGHT....RIIIIIIGHT)
vampire weekend
saw them on tv the other day. at the glastonbury festival or something? i was sitting with my parents and they really liked them and asked me who they were. despite me making them listen to their cd at least five times now.
radiohead
oh god. nuff said.
blur
the best looking band to come out of england. disputed only by the beatles, but they had charm
i will be reading:
scott pilgrim...again (yes jenna :O again...graphic novels don't count)
slam dunk
one of my favourite cartoons as a child
it should be a good day filled with lots of peaceful waiting; listening to music and reading graphic novels, and eating just to pass time

so for new year's
don't be like that guy from the social network (hot):
be with some friends
...or a pet
...at least a rock that you can throw around

training: 2nd edition

so i forgot to put the most annoying thing i have experienced on shityrail of late on.

every time a train terminates at hornsby in the afternoon from like 1pm to around 3pm, they play the most repetitive message ever:

"The train now standing at platform 2 terminates here. Please do not join this train. Would all passengers please alight from the train. The train on platform 2 terminates here. Please do not join this train. This train terminates here. Please do not join this train."

and it doesn't end there.
this message repeats (as if it wasn't repetitive enough already) over and over until the train finally actually terminates. this time can be anywhere between 5 to 45 minutes.

shoot me.
god this world is a funny funny place.

also, i'm home alone on christmas as is tradition (home alone kid anyone?) but everyone will be home around 6pm. then we'll stuff ourselves with food and open the presents.

training

australian trains are so shit.
yesterday the train was delayed by like a billion minutes.
today i missed the train to work and the next one was in two billion minutes.
but my daddy drove me XD

on a spontaneous day trip to the blue mountains with my sister we encountered many trains.
this is the shitty country/far away places from sydney train. "countrylink"
more "count" then "ry" and links to nowhere pretty much. notice how it's dull green and swarming yellow and deathly overall.
this is the more modern/city type of train/train station. "cityrail"
or what i like to call "shityrail"
i think that might even be a millenium train on the left. they were made really quickly for the 2000 sydney olympics. they look good and feel like computer shuttle things, but they are quite dangerous apparently.
this is a cool sign i saw on this trip. those "jesus. all about life" signs were everywhere. on billboards, bumper stickers, flyers, banners. this one outside the church got defaced. so glad no one had caught the people. how ingenius.
this is how i stay cool, calm and collected when dealing with shityrail.
ie. by simply being amazingly awesome.
this is seriously the only photo i could find that looked like i was thinking intensely on the train.
i look kind of shityrail myself.
nuff said.
old photos are the best. really.
observe how asquith station has but two platforms.
not uncommon around these parts. not at all. pennant hills is also the same.
despite being a major bus terminal/getting on bus place.
i used to sit like on the yellow line when i was younger.
how suicidal.
but yeah i'm glad i avoided the trains today for work.
even though i am probably inconveniencing others. they love me, so i'm cool.
plus i'm fucking rose chan.
my best friend came to the shops in two different suburbs with me which are like several suburbs away, not to mention several suburbs away from where she lives anyway, and then drove me home. ain't she sweet.

bored

so everyone is bored. and sick of reading the same stuff over and over.
so i have to blog again. woot.
but i still have two assessments. so i'm just so nice for doing this.
i'm going to say so one more time.

pulp is a great english band who shall be loved by all. everyone knows common people.
ever since i saw it on rage i was like.....mmm they have sweet sounds. and i think radiohead got their fake plastic trees "person in shopping trolley" video inspiration from it. anything that radiohead likes must be good.
the shout out louds. another swedish thing i like. although baldy is not one to look at. the main singer (holding the hat) looks crazy like jason schwartzman (gideon off scott pilgrim or the king in marie antoinette)
this is the guitarist chick from the teenagers. when i play guitar, i look like this, bored and perfectly badass.
here's a good movie: shine
it's about a musical prodigy who just fucked up really bad in the end. it has geoffrey rush as the main actor. it's really very good.

here's a hot person from a movie. tom felton. "give it here malfoy"...your dick that is.
god i would tap that. multiple times.

i want this
it's so ikea

ok i should really study some more

burberry

i actually quite like burberry. it's a young person's label now. they have good models. good music in their campaigns. and the burberry pattern is just so awesome.
my parents like burberry. they had matching burberry scarves when they were young teenagers or something, at least i think that's the story....but they have new ones now...so yeah, i like burberry too. they are so pretty. i think my mum and dad have a grey and a brown one.
i wore burberry weekend (it's a fragrance) everyday to work experience a couple of years ago. it had those journalists swooning. and the bottle is still around. it lasts ages. the other cadets thought i was a bit haughty though. "ooo look at me, i'm wearing burberry weekend"...yeah well you motherfuckers were the ones that recognised the scent so go drink some off milk. just cos it made me orgasm every five seconds, you bitches was just jealous.
the hot male models. god. actors, musicians and models come fuck me now.
alex pettyfer from stormbreaker is almost unrecognisable on the right.
and the guy in the middle is in a really cool band + his leg spread = nuff said.
i have this picture on a postcard advertisement sitting on top of my guitar amp 24/7. so hot.
and they are famous for jackets. and yes, i have a crazy thing for jackets. i always dress in layers so that when it gets hot i can take layer by layer off and leave them everywhere in the house. it's so fun.
but yeah, emma watson is fucking ace. i would tap her - easy access. so long as she still has hair. but right now she's practically bald. and i want that hair long. that purple jacket is also fugly. her brother is so hot (on the left). plus alex is a cool name. a very cool name indeed. for men.
here's a random photo amelia sent me
here's something pretty funny
here's the funniest thing ever.
as long as you've seen csi miami, you'll be on the floor soon in hysterics. ever seen that comedy sketch show where they show the actor of horatio (see below) like live his normal life and he is always still wearing the same damn sunnies and suit? the funniest part is when he's wearing the sunnies in the shower.
classic.
"it's not a suicide..." *puts sunnies on* "...it's a homicide"

POKE-EEEEE-MON

oh look! a poke-E-mon trainer....quick quick...i gotta get my poke-E-mon ready for battle!
ok. so i can't go a week without singing the pokemon theme song at least three times in quiet places during my frees. eg. the library, study sessions in quads, a funeral.
but come on. it's pokemon. pokemon.

ash is so hot. his husky ten year old voice is to die for. if i could do any cartoon....well he would be up there with a few others.
his first outfit is definitely the best. the best hat. the green gloves. 80's style jeans and sneakers. that awesome blue and white shirt thing and a green backpack. he can handle my pokeballs. fuck. me. now.
but yeah, with the outfit changes and all, hopefully this doesn't happen...
my favourite pokemon growing up were squirtle:
bulbasaur (this is so wrong. beastiality = not cool):
and charmander:
pikachu was to be added later...much later...roughly one month ago upon reviewing the first episode. he is actually the cutest thing ever. look at him in ash's hat...naaawwww
google chrome = da best. seriously, it's so fast. like grease lightning. and i actually did think of a pokeball the first time i used it.
has anyone else noticed that jiggypuff's face is also its body. kind of reminds me of that octopus thing on the mighty boosh
remember how we all got those "who's that pokemon?" things so easily? well chuck norris beat the system.
togepi is so cute as well.....all constipated like
there's also something very appealing about gary oak's arrogance and crazy asian hair...
this is great. that guy is not though. fat = gross
this is a tshirt. when my friend sent it to me, i almost cried
please don't touch my poke-E-mon
