in the lead up to the world cup in south africa (only 46 days to go!!!), this post shall be about the hottest football players ever. in my opinion of course. some old, some young, all of them really really ridiculously good looking. in no particular order:
1. Philipp Lahm - 26
one of the most reliable players out there. never fails and is one of the only defenders that actually takes the ball all the way to the goal...and scores! he plays for bayern munich (best german club) and germany (my team)
2. Oleksander Shovkovskiy - 35
ukrainian goalkeeper. sure he's not the best in the world. but he is the best in ukraine. besides his looks make up for it.
3. Edwin Van Der Sar - 39
one of the best goalies in the world. there's something about this guy that makes you feel as if you can trust your life in him and you'd be completely safe. plays for manchester united (fuck them...they don't deserve him) and the netherlands (the orange team). i also found some hilarious ones of him, his pants have almost completely blown off...(the two extremely dramatic arnold schwarzenegger ones at the bottom...gotta love arnie)
4. Michael Ballack - 33
german playing for chelsea (alright...not as cool as arsenal but not as gay as liverpool and not as annoying as manchester united). the golden days for him were when he played for bayern munich (see above) and was really really rude. seriously...he challenged referees all the time and spat on people. but now he's cleaned up and captains the team. he is the reason why my favourite number is 13 (he only ever wears this number regardless of his team)
5. Andrea Pirlo - 30
plays for ac milan (last i checked anyway), the best club in the entire world...(well maybe not the best but definitely my favourite)... and always take the corners and tricky shots for italy. kicks a mean bended ball and has dead straight (and curved) accuracy. and nice hair
6. Kaka - 28
this guy is absolutely legendary. he is my favourite football player bar none. brazilian, used to play for ac milan (see above) but now plays for real madrid (spanish club). scarily religious but still sweet and married his childhood love. has a kid...possibly more than one?
7. Fernando Torres - 26
they call him el nino or the kid cos of his baby face. but now he himself has babies and a wife. damn it. spanish and plays for liverpool (see above). the golden days for him was when he scored a shitload at the last world cup, wore a mohawk and still played for atletico madrid (the most under-rated spanish club with a nice striped uniform)
8. Cesc Fabregas - 22
spanish and captains arsenal (see above). all in all he plays for all the teams that are the "new threats" of football. they have all the talented young players...that are getting older and more experience, which is he one of. recently he kicked a goal for arsenal in the champions league with a broken leg...and a bad knee. what a champion. stuff the arnie style photos...he IS arnie
